Shomari Hall is a vibrant multi-instrumentalist, producer, photographer, videographer, and social entrepreneur making waves in the DC/Maryland metropolitan area. From a young age, Shomari dove into a rich tapestry of musical genres, collaborating with an impressive array of accomplished videographers and photographers. These diverse experiences have fueled his passion and inspired him to create a unique business model that caters to a wide range of clientele. As the founder and CEO of 2Reel Enterprises, he and his team deliver premium audio/visual services designed to elevate creators and meet the varied needs of customers.

 

Shomari also leads the dynamic “Room 48” band, featuring some of the most talented students and recent graduates from Howard University’s jazz music program. While he weaves harmonic melodies on the keyboard, he simultaneously brings energy and rhythm to the stage as a drummer for multiple local bands. In 2019, he co-founded the producer group S.O.C (Sound Over Currency), focusing on R&B, Hip Hop, Neo-Soul, and Afrobeats. His exceptional projects have garnered attention, earning airplay on local radio stations like WKYS and WPFW and securing several awards.

 

A proud graduate of Howard University, Shomari earned his bachelor’s degree in music business with a concentration in jazz piano in 2024. During his time at Howard, he had the privilege of learning from renowned musicians such as Cyrus Chestnut, Fred Irby, Carroll Dashiel, and Charlie Young.

 

With over eight years of experience in music production, Shomari has collaborated with some of the finest studio engineers in the DC Metropolitan Area. He brings a distinctive identity and perspective to the music industry, skillfully blending influences to create a sound that transcends conventional boundaries. His soulful keyboard skills and captivating drumming rhythms resonate across a variety of genres, showcasing his versatility.
